The mask

The mask, of course, represents the Venetian masked balls, which were the inspiration for the creation of Cadello.

Ferro Dragon

Cadello is made from a combination of 
ingredients from the old Silk Route plus
flavours from Italy.

In our logo, the unique ‘Ferro Dragon’ of
Cadello has the head of a dragon
(representing China) and the tail of a ferro,
from the Venetian gondola.

China meets Italy. East meets west.

The number 88

The number 88 on the label has two meanings:

First: there are 8 primary ingredients in Cadello.

Second: in Chinese culture 8 is the luckiest number.

88 symbolises double fortune, double luck, double joy and double health.

the name cadello

The name Cadello itself is a derivation of sorts.

In Venice, the word “casa” is abbreviated to ca’, particularly when used to name a family’s house.

We wanted to name this new spirit after a Venetian palace where grand masked balls would have been held.

“Ca’ Dello”. Hence… Cadello

1Zolletta di zucchero
  • Mescolare zucchero e bitters con ghiaccio.
  • Una volta sciolto lo zucchero, aggiungere il Bourbon o il Rye. Miscelare.
  • In un secondo bicchiere, bagnarlo con Cadello e lasciarne il residuo nel bicchiere.
  • Filtrare il tutto all’interno del bicchiere senza ghiaccio.
  • Guarnire con scorza d'arancia.

  • Mischiare la menta e il basilico con i fiori di sambuco.
  • Aggiungere Cadello e miscelare con ghiaccio.
  • Filtrare in un tumbler basso.
  • Guarnire con menta (o basilico) e fettina di cetriolo.

  • Shakerare i primi 3 ingredienti con ghiaccio per 30 secondi.
  • Filtrare in un tumbler alto.
  • Completare con Kombucha.

1/2 Cucchiaiodi cacao in polvere
1/2 Cucchiaiodi zucchero biologico
  • Scaldare il latte, lo zucchero e il cacao. Mescolare fino a quando non si addensa.
  • Versare il Baileys e Cadello in una tazza e poi aggiungere la crema di latte, zucchero e cacao. Mescolare bene.
  • Guarnire con cannella e cacao in polvere.

60 mlSucco di melograno*
3-4Fette di lime
2 Goccedi sciroppo di sambuco
30 mlSciroppo di menta, zenzero, miele

*(o succo di mirtillo).

  • Pestare delicatamente il lime nello shaker. Aggiungere tutti gli altri ingredienti e shakerare per 20 secondi.
  • Filtrare due volte in un bicchiere ghiacciato.
  • Guarnire con scorza di lime e rametto di menta.

  • Unire la menta nello shaker con Cadello e Patron XO Café.
  • Aggiungere le nocciole e il ghiaccio. Shakerare vigorosamente per 50-60 secondi.
  • Filtrare due volte. Guarnire con menta fresca e baccello di vaniglia.

  • Mix sugar and bitters with ice.
  • Once sugar is dissolved, add bourbon or rye. Stir.
  • In a second glass, rinse the glass with Cadello.
  • Leave remaining Cadello in the glass.
  • Strain bourbon mix over the Cadello.
  • Garnish with orange zest.

Kombucha

  • Shake first 3 ingredients over ice for 30 seconds.
  • Strain into a tall glass.
  • Top up with Kombucha.

  • Stir Cadello and vodka over ice for 60 seconds.
  • Add 2 drops of olive juice (or olive bitters).
  • Strain into a martini glass.
  • Garnish with an olive.

  • Heat milk, sugar and cocoa. Stir until thick.
  • Pour Baileys and Cadello into a cup and then pour milk mix on top. Stir well.
  • Garnish with cinnamon and cocoa powder.

2 dashesElderberry syrup
30 mlMint, ginger, honey syrup

*(or cranberry juice).

  • Muddle lime gently in shaker. Add all other ingredients and shake for 20 seconds.
  • Double strain into chilled glass.
  • Garnish with lime peel and mint sprig.

  • Muddle the mint in shaker with Cadello and Patron XO Café.
  • Add hazelnuts and ice. Shake vigorously for 50-60 seconds.
  • Double strain. Garnish with fresh mint and vanilla pod.

  • Strain into a martini glass.

10 mlCinnamon syrup
20 mlEgg white
5 dropsPeychaud's bitters
  • Shake vigorously with ice for 30 seconds until the mix is frothy and foamy.
  • Double strain into wide glass.
  • 5-6 dots Peychaud's bitters on top.
  • Garnish with thyme or mint.
